Road to Emmaus Ministry

Volunteers at the Road to Emmaus Ministry of Syracuse, Inc. have helped thousands of hungry, isolated, and homeless individuals in Syracuse. By preparing and distributing healthful meals, providing free health services, haircuts, and more, Emmaus volunteers have encouraged a spirit of giving and hope year-round.

What is now the Syracuse Road to Emmaus Ministry used to be the District 545 office. The Upstate NY Engineers Benefit Funds is proud to have donated a building to Road to Emmaus Ministry that has become a cornerstone of the Syracuse community.

Emmaus is always looking for new volunteers to help them help others. To learn more and to volunteer, visit http://emmausministry.org/.

History

The Bernie DeJoseph Foundation was created in 2002 in memory of former Local 545 Business Manager Bernie DeJoseph. It was rebranded in 2011 to the Upstate NY Engineers Benefit Funds following the merger of Locals 106, 545, and 832. Since its inception in 2002, the Foundation/Trust has donated more than $100,000 to worthwhile causes and organizations.
