Apprenticeship is the process of learning a trade under the guidance of experienced journeyworkers. Our program provides hands-on training at one of our three training sites, classroom instruction, and paid on-the-job-training for our signatory contractors. Local 158’s robust training program teaches you everything you need to know to be a successful operating engineer. Each of our three districts has its own training site, instructors, and equipment.
