Through the IUOE Local 158 Charitable Trust, we help members in need and contribute financially to worthwhile causes such as the Regional Food Bank, Open Door Mission, In My Father’s Kitchen, ConnectLife, Hospice of Central New York, and the March of Dimes.

IUOE Local 158 Scholarship

The IUOE Local 158 Charitable Trust awards one or more college scholarships each year to deserving applicants. The application is available to high school seniors who have a parent or legal guardian who is a member of Local 158 in good standing. The winner(s) of the award may use the scholarship at any accredited college or university. The application process begins in February or March of each year.

2025 APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE! 

DEADLINE TO APPLY:

  • Mailed applications must be postmarked no later than May 31, 2025.
  • Emailed and hand-delivered applications must be received no later than June 6, 2025.

Applications are also available in each of the district offices.

IUOE Local 158 Charitable Golf Tournament

The IUOE Local 158 Charitable Trust raises money through its annual Charity Golf Tournament held every September.  Information on the 2025 tournament will be available soon!

History

The Bernie DeJoseph Foundation was created in 2002 in memory of former Local 545 Business Manager Bernie DeJoseph. It was rebranded in 2011 to the Upstate NY Engineers Benefit Funds following the merger of Locals 106, 545, and 832. Since its inception in 2002, the Foundation/Trust has donated more than $100,000 to worthwhile causes and organizations.
